Tate's Farm 2008

We took the girls to Tate's Farm today! They had a great time. I think Maddie likes the corn crib the best! Sydney wasn't sure about it at first, but adapted.

We petted bunnies and goats. We rode the hay ride to the pumpkin patch and picked 4 "perfect" pumpkins.

Maddie posed with the measuring pumpkin first... Then Sydney came along for her turn without ANY prompting! We were going to get a picture of the two of them together... but our scrappy Sydney Jo wanted the photo op all to herself. She pushed her big sis out of the way with an impressive straight arm. This is feisty behavior that we've seen before! Maddie doesn't push back... she just tattles in the whiniest voice you can imagine... sigh...

An odd pumpkin... but a great two seater!

Corn crib fun!

Maddie LOVED it!

Sydney was curious... but didn't like it sticking to her hands.

Anyone want to buy these mums?

On the hayride!

Ever seen such pretty sunflowers?

Wanna ride?

Sydney is notorious for putting things - anything and everything- in her mouth... but she never tried to eat the corn, even though it looks like she could have a mouthful at this moment...

She couldn't resist the pumpkins... She didn't even need them to be cooked into a pie!

So little she could hold them herself.

Last year she couldn't even stand up to be measured!

SO BIG!

Can you see how excited she is?

What about here? This girl LOVES animals!

Hello!

The goats were a little uptight! They moved away after each pet.
