I'm wondering if the Whips make for a good facial? And what about a hair treatment? We'll let you know!

Needless to say, she ate this container of yogurt all by herself! No "mommy help" at all!

Daddy and Maddie share a love for Curious George. Here they are watching the movie together... again... "Watch Carrie [Curious] George on T.V? Ok. Yes... Watch Man in Yellow Hat? Man in Yellow Hat funny! What's man doing?" and when the movie ends... "An-gin [again] please, mommy. Watch Carrie [Curious] George again? yes. ok." all while nodding her sweet little pig-tailed head!

Maddie has a flair for the arts, just like her mommy! She loves to color... and now that she's had a loaded paintbrush in her little hands, she's always ready to paint! We'll let you know how "washable" washable art supplies REALLY are!

Easter 2007

Graceful, eh... very ladylike, indeed. We're raising a flasher!

We went to a neighborhood Easter Egg hunt. Maddie was not too keen about meeting the Easter Bunny, although she asked about him the rest of the weekend after we left!

Maddie found an egg, figured out there was candy inside and sat down, "open, open." The other parents made their kids give Maddie eggs cause she only had one after the time was up... but she wasn't unhappy. She was eating m&m's!

The Turners!

Maddie met some butterflies at the top of the Saltwater Tank Building.

Maddie said:
"Butterfly hurt you?! Hold you, Mommy, hold you... It's ok, it's alright"

If you click on the picture and enlarge it you can actually see the teeny-tiny jellyfish glowing in the tank. I love the reflection of Maddie and Daddy on the glass.

All smiles. This girl L-o-v-e-s playing in water... dog bowls, puddles, fountains, baby pools, faucets... you name it, we've gotten wet from it! "Maddie wet... Get mommy wet? yes?"

When I was visibly pregnant with Maddie in 2005 Q and I visited the 100-year-old Dogwood tree inside the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. We had some pictures taken. Then we went back the next year with Maddie and took more pictures. So this year we continued the tradition and went to have pictures taken again! I was, of course, pregnant with Sydney then. It is neat to have the yearly pictures against the natural backdrop, and we plan to do it every year so we can watch our family grow and change. The tree itself is magnificent. It was transplanted a few years ago... and it was quite a big deal.

Big News

Sorry it has been sooooo long since we posted pictures! I know that there are only a few people who are TRULY interested in the site... and I'm sorry to leave you all hanging!

We have big news to share, and hopefully you've already heard.. but if not...

Petting Zoo!

What fun we had. All three of us went to the petting zoo with our neighbors! Maddie met a big bull, a baby deer, many pygmie goats, two deft raccoons, a hungry llama, one lazy, stinky pig, many birds- peacocks, roosters, pheasants, and chickens, one bitty baby squirrel, a horse, a donley, a sheep... some capybaras, two dogs, and some black swans. (to name a few!) She got VERY excited when she saw any kind of bird... hmmm... but she told us how cows go "mooo." and dogs go "ruh ruh" and cats say "meow" (there was a lynx, too- but not to pet!) and tigers say "rraaarrrggh!" We didn't see any monkeys, but she would have told us that thay say "ooh ooh ooh."

Did I mention Bunnies? There were bunnies to hold, and even buy... but we didn't.


I even had a pygmie goat try to eat my hair...

Dancing Maddie

We have a hard time catching her in motion, but Maddie LOVES to dance. She had a ball listening to my MP3 plater after a walk one day. She was grooving to the music.

Big shoes to fill

Maddie's got a wonderful Daddy! We'll be lucky if she turns out like him! Of course, she has got big shoes to fill!

We celebrated big time!

We went to a Pool Party for Maddie's Cousins' Birthdays! Kayla, Evan, and Maddie all have birthdays seven days apart from eachother.... Hmm... eerie!

Maddie enjoys floating. She and Daddy were so smart to both wear hats in the 100 degree heat!
Of course, Maddie was always pulling her hat off. Perhaps to show off her adorable pigtails!

Maddie climbs!

Maddie loves to climb up her castle wall. She can even slide down by herself... backwards, on her tummy, feet first!

Much like our cat, Abbey, Maddie ALSO likes to climb into "My-sized-places" like this one.

Good Morning Sunshine

Sometimes Maddie gets so comfortable when she sleeps... This time she was caught "hanging out" when I went to get her from her nap.



Maddie sleeps with a paci in her mouth and one in each hand. In the morning she's more than willing to share!
